MPIO Principles & Implementation Timeline
The purpose of this document is to detail the requirements and timing relating to compliance with the Gymnastics Australia (GA) National Affiliation Standard 7 on Member Protection Information Officers (MPIO).
Commitment to Member Protection is a fundamental expectation by government of all sports organisations within Australia. GA and its State Association Members all have Member Protection policies and procedures in place and the obligation flows through to all affiliated clubs.
The MPIO is an important part of an effective Member Protection policy and ideally every club would have a fully-trained MPIO operating within its club by 30th June 2017. For further information please read the MPIO Principles & Implementation Timeline document.
National Club Name Policy
This document outlines the policy that has been adopted regarding the name of clubs seeking affiliation. It has been written to ensure that all clubs seeking affiliation, or current clubs wishing to change their recognised name, can clearly understand the State Association’s position in regards to club names. For further information please read the National Club Name Policy.

National Membership Database Policy
This Policy supports Gymnastics Australia's National Affiliation Standards which a club is required to satisfy for ongoing affiliation.
The National Affiliation Standards require that:
All of the club’s participants are registered (utilising the correct codes) with the relevant State Association and Gymnastics Australia in accordance with the National Membership Database Policy and the State Membership Policy.
In addition, this Policy ensures GA can meet its obligations and commitments for providing the information required by the Australian Sports Commission and other organisations who provide services to members, such as the national insurance scheme.
