A big congratulations to our Victorian competitors who rose to the top at the Australian Gymnastics Championships last week during Week 2.

After a tough few days of competition at Hisense Arena, Victoria’s Rhythmic Junior’s dominated their Team event, taking home the Gold Medal with a total score of 147.250, ahead of Queensland (135.500) and New South Wales (134.400). It was also an excellent individual effort by Level 9’s Jessica Mackenzie who won Gold in both Hoop and Ball.

In the Acrobatics competition, it was the Victorian trios of Emily Massara, Emily Maiorana and Kathy Le (Level 6 Women's Trio); and Emily Cuddy, Holly Loquet and Sue Seki (Junior 13-19 Women's Trio), that took out Overall Titles; it was also a Gold Medal performance for our Senior Mixed Pair of Aaron Mavro and Alicia Livolti.

In Trampoline Gymnastics, our Double Mini Trampoline Under 15 titles were won by proud Team Vic representatives Sunday Hollingsworth and Will McInerney, before McInerney assimilated the gold triumph in his Tumbling event for the Under 15 category.

Victoria’s Jack O’Neil and Kyren Allison also secured the Australian Tumbling titles in the Under 13 Male and Under 17 categories respectively.

Well done to all of our Team Vic athletes on a fantastic competition!
