Join us at the 2019 Marketing Bootcamp
After a successful event in 2018, the Gymnastics Victoria Bootcamp is back in 2019 with a fantastic line-up of speakers. The aim of the Bootcamp is to increase your understanding of how you can best market your Gymnastics Club and your programs.
The day will feature presentations from four speakers in the morning session and a presentation and workshop component in the afternoon session. Lunch will be provided.

Lucy Fyfield – Branding your club
Lucy Fyfield is the founder and director of Melbourne Gymnastics Centre (MGC), with three venues in Windsor, Hawthorn and Melbourne. These three venues were formally Movement for Life Windsor, Wesley Lions and Hawthorn Gymnastics Centre that were brought together under the name of Melbourne Gymnastics Centre in 2019.
Lucy will talk about the process of rebranding to Melbourne Gymnastics Centre and the importance of having brand consistency across your clubs social media channels, website and interaction with customers.
Natalie Linsdell – Marketing recreational programs
Natalie is the Marketing Leader at Skylark Sports and is responsible for all things marketing and media at the club. She is no stranger to the marketing world, having worked in a marketing agency prior to moving to Skylark.
Skylark Sports have strong recreational programs for gymnasts of varying ages and abilities. In her presentation Natalie will talk through the best way to market recreational programs to potential customers, such as Ninja Gymnastics.
Gen Simmons – Facebook advertising
Gen is the Marketing and Commercial Manager at Gymnastics Victoria and has a wealth of knowledge about marketing gymnastics to existing and potential members.
In her presentation, Gen will talk through a step-by-step explanation of how to use Facebook advertising to promote your club or program.
Phoebe Pownall – Child safety on social media
Gymnastics Victoria’s Child Safe Coordinator Phoebe Pownall will address all of your concerns about child safety on social media. She will take you through the Gymnastics Victoria Social Media Policy, and what you should consider when using social media.
April Wilson – Retaining teenage gymnasts
Inclusion and Program Manager at Gymnastics Victoria, April Wilson, will talk through the new Gym4Me program. Gym4Me is a program designed to retain gymnasts in the 12-17 year old age range as well as attracting new participants to the sport.
