Marketing & Content Manager

Are you a storyteller? Do you have a passion and drive for producing content and generating external media coverage to successfully champion a brand? If so, you might be the person Gymnastics Victoria is looking to welcome into the position of Marketing & Content Manager.

Gymnastics Victoria is the peak organisation for gymnastics in Victoria and is a member of the Victorian Olympic Council and the Victorian Commonwealth Games Association. The Marketing & Content Manager will lead the planning, development, and execution of engaging content across owned and external channels to elevate the profile of the sport while showcasing and connecting with the Victorian gymnastics community.

The key functions of the role include:

  • Developing, implementing, and driving strategic marketing and communications plans which engage all cross-functions of Gymnastics Victoria, including Events, Education, and High Performance;
  • Crafting external communications including media releases, club communications, and news articles;
  • Generating and pitching positive PR stories to external media;
  • Identifying relevant and newsworthy content within and across the Victorian gymnastics community; and
  • Engaging and building strong relationships with key stakeholders of the gymnastics community including Gymnastics Australia, YMCAs, Club Managers, Coaches, and High Performance athletes.

Candidates must have at least 5 years' relevant experience in marketing and communications. Previous experience in gymnastics, or other sporting or membership organisations, is desirable but not necessary.

This role is full-time, and work outside normal business hours including evenings and weekends will be required. A competitive, above Award salary will be offered to suitably experienced candidates.

Education and Workforce Officer

Join the team at Gymnastics Victoria and become part of one of Victoria’s most popular sports for children.

This is a hands-on role that supports the Education and Workforce team to organise courses and programs that meet the training needs of coaches and judges across the state. Your purpose will be to ensure an appropriately trained gymnastics workforce and drive our learning management system. This role is based in Windsor at the Gymnastics Victoria office.

This position is offered as a part-time (20 hours a week) position. The successful candidate will occasionally be required to work evenings and weekends and travel to events around the state. We invite appropriately qualified candidates to apply and offer the following to successful applicants:

Practical experience and understanding of gymnastics is desirable, however additional resources and education will be made available for the successful applicant to support all job requirements.

Independent Committee Member - Gymnastics Victoria Governance & Nominations Committee

Expressions of Interest are invited for the position of Independent Member on Gymnastics Victoria’s Governance and Nominations Committee. 

Gymnastics Victoria is a leading state sporting association, and the governing body for gymnastics in Victoria.  As the third highest participation sport in Victoria for children under 12, and with a coach and judge workforce numbering more than 2500, gymnastics in Victoria is a strong industry that develops essential early years foundation skills and provides pathways for athletes through seven Gymsports.

In addition to skills in Policy and Development, the successful candidate will have extensive experience at a senior management level in the area of Human Resources. Technical knowledge in the area of change management, organisational development practices to shape organisational culture, recruitment, induction and skills assessment will be highly valued.  

This is a new voluntary position, the term of which is until June 2023 - with the possibility of re-appointment.   A position description is available here: PD_Independent Committee Member
