Ninja Gymnastics

2019 Australian Ninja Warrior contestants: Charlie Robbins, Troy (Dirt) Cullen, Georgia Bonora, Ashlin Herbert & Zak Stolz.

Gymnastics is a leader in developing fundamental movement skills and provides participants with general fitness, coordination, agility, strength, balance and speed.

Ninja programs use a fusion of gymnastics, trampoline, acrobatics, obstacle course training and freestyle movement.

Many gymnasts compete on the popular TV show Australian Ninja Warrior, where competitors go through a rigorous series of obstacles for the chance to become the next Australian Ninja Warrior.

In 2019, Peninsula Gymnastics gymnast and coach Charlie Robbins was crowned the winner of Australian Ninja Warrior Season 3 after getting the furthest fastest on the course. Charlie came in ahead of his fellow "Peninja" training partners Ashlin HerbertZak Stolz and Troy (Dirt) Cullen as well as Olympic gymnast Georgia Bonora

In 2020, Victorian gymnasts performed well once again with Zak and Charlie from Peninsula Gymnastics conquering Mount Midoriyama.

In 2021, Zak from Peninsula Gymnastics was crowned the winner of Season 5 of Australian Ninja Warrior defeating fellow gymnast/coach from Peninsula Gymnastics Charlie.

Gymnastics clubs across Victoria offer programs such as Ninja Gym, FreeG, Warrior Gym and other freestyle gymnastics classes.
