
Getting to know Blake Treble – Our Acrobatic Spotlight Athlete.
At this month's State Team recognition day, we asked our Victorian Team athletes to answer us a few questions. Here are the results below:
Blake Treble is 24 years old and will be competing in the Acrobatic category at this year’s Australian Gymnastics Championships.
How did you first get involved with Gymnastics?
My parents were heavily involved in gymnastics. So, I was always in the gym.
What is one of your best highlights from your Gymnastics career thus far?
Going from being a high-level top in Acro to a high-level Base
Do you have a favourite song to warm up to?
Anything with a good beat, or that is catchy
Is there a gymnast you look up to and if so, who is it?
Yes, I look up to a retired gymnast, his name is Anthony Hodge. He was a high-level acrobat hopefully I can follow in his footsteps.
Your go to pre-comp snack?
A fruit cup!
What artist can we expect to be at the top of your Spotify wrapped?
Hilltop hoods
What nickname do your friends call you?
Boog
If you had the choice to be invisible or fly which, would you pick?
Fly
Your favourite show to binge watch?
Anything that's marvel or game of thrones
What would you title a book that is written about yourself?
Dream big
If you had a time machine, would you travel to the past or the future?
I would do both

What advice would you give to other gymnasts aiming to make the state team?
Train hard and always believe in yourself
Blake will be competing on Thursday 12th May – Level 6 & 7 Pairs Acrobatics.
