Getting to know: Madison Henwood – Our Aerobic Spotlight Athlete.   

At this month's State Team recognition day, we asked our Victorian Team athletes to answer us a few questions. Here are the results below:  

Madison Henwood is 23 years old and will be competing in the Aerobic category at this year’s Australian Gymnastics Championships. 

How did you first get involved with Gymnastics? 

Through school! I started aeroschools in year 7 and officially joined a club in year 9! 

What is one of your best highlights from your Gymnastics career thus far? 

Competing for Australia with my trio in 2017 and winning Victorian athlete of the year in 2019 

Do you have a favourite song to warm up to? 

Anything with a strong beat 

Your go to pre-comp snack? 

Banana  

What artist can we expect to be at the top of your Spotify wrapped? 

Lizzo 

What nickname do your friends call you? 

Mads 

If you had the choice to be invisible or fly which, would you pick? 

Fly 

Your favourite show to binge watch? 

Chicago fire 

What would you title a book that is written about yourself? 

Drama queen

Madison will be competing on May 16th in Level 7 Senior Individual.
